Vuestro hijo/a va a empezar la Unidad 7 de su libro de Science. El tema de esta unidad es el sol (The Sun) y en ella va a:
· descubrir que el sol es una estrella y la Tierra un planeta que gira alrededor del sol
· entender algunas características de la luna
· entender que las fases de la luna se deben a la posición que ocupan la Tierra, el sol y la luna
· confirmar que la razón de que haya días y noches se debe al hecho de que la Tierra gira alrededor de su eje
· descubrir que la Tierra tarda 24 horas en dar una vuelta completa sobre sí misma
· entender que el sol parece moverse por el cielo de una forma regular
· comprobar que las estaciones de año se producen debido a la inclinación de la Tierra
· identificar las cuatro estaciones y sus principales características
Además, en esta unidad investigará las fases de la luna y confirmará las razones por las que hay días y noches. Junto a sus compañeros recitará la rima The Sun, que contiene el vocabulario clave sobre el tema; ayudadle a repasarla en casa mientras mira el Picture dictionary en la página 132 del libro.
